Ashanti Douglas, popularly referred to as Ashanti and born in Glen Cove New York United States 13 October 1980. She is a popular American musician, singer and actor. Ashanti was a singer, songwriter and actress in her teens. and actress from the US has been signed to Murder Inc. Records to record her in 2002. Ashanti has released her debut self-titled album in 2002 on Irv Gotti's Murder Inc. label. The Declaration is Ashanti's fourth studio album, came out on the 3rd of June, 2008. Hey Baby After the Club was released on 16 October for radio and digital outlets. She also starred in the film Christmas in the City, Army Wives and Latasha Monteclair.
